FairFunding for Hospiscare

At a meeting in January 2024, Sharon Collins reminded us that Hospiscare does not receive a fair slice of central government charity funding. She appealed for written support (see below) and provided the following summary of their situation:
Andrew Randall, CEO of Hospiscare, explains: “We’ve had frank discussions over the last 12 months with the Devon Integrated Care Board, the local body that allocates government funding, about increasing our funding in line with the national average but so far the ICB has refused.
We’re asking YOU to help us today by downloading our letter template and writing to the Chair and CEO of the ICB, asking them to fund your local hospice fairly so we can continue to provide compassionate end-of-life care to local people and families who need us most.
