Lapford Mill

Lapford Mill is an ancient water mill set in 4 acres of parkland.  

The Mill building is arranged over 3 floors and houses museum artifacts from the industry, along with a catering kitchen for hot & cold snacks, barista coffee and a fully licensed bar. There is a detached holiday cottage (sleeps 4) and riverside Timberloft (sleeps 2).

The park is available for weddings and private hire events as well as community events, boasting an annual music festival (Lapstock) and building on occasional open-air theatre and live music events in the park.

Throughout the clement season, the mill also hosts a delightful collection of miniature and standard Shetland ponies from Helawi Shetlands.

I worked as an IT consultant for 20 years in London, primarily as an Oracle database specialist and analyst, and also in the media as a pioneer of internet television, setting up London’s first broadband TV station DTZ Television. Lapford Mill was purchased as a home and restoration project in 2015 and looks forward to establishing herself on the visitor attraction network for mid Devon.
