Free Business Rates Information Event

From 1 April 2026 many firms in the district will be affected by the Business Rates revaluation and changes to how their business rates are calculated, resulting in changes to how much they pay in 2026/27. The changes have been brought in by the Government to create a fairer, more modern system that supports investment and protects the high street.

To help businesses understand the changes to their bills, Revenues Officers from the Council will be on hand to provide further information and answer questions at a free drop-in information event. Once bills have been received, the team will also be holding drop-in surgeries so that businesses can discuss their individual bills in detail.

The event will be held on Tuesday, 17 February 2026 at Mid Devon District Council Offices, Phoenix House, Phoenix Lane, Tiverton, EX16 6PP.

There is no need to book, and you can visit anytime between 10:30am and 5pm.
